How do I deactivate my remit123 profile?
You can deactivate your profile at any time directly through the mobile app:
- Open the Remit123 app.
- Tap the Settings icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen.
- Select Account Settings.
- Scroll and tap to deactivate the account
- Confirm your selection along with the reason for deactivation to complete the process
Can I reactivate my deactivated profile?
What happens immediately upon profile closure?
- Account Access: You will be logged out and lose immediate access to the
app dashboard. - Payment Methods: All linked payment methods will be deactivated.
- Pending Transfers: If you have an active transfer in progress, you must
allow it to complete or cancel it before you can deactivate your profile.
Is my personal information automatically deleted when I deactivate my profile?
How do I request permanent data deletion?
- Submission: Permanent deletion cannot be executed directly within the app
settings. You must submit a formal request to our Customer Support team via in-app chat or email. - Processing: Our privacy compliance team will review your account,
permanently purge all data eligible for removal under applicable privacy
laws, and retain only what is legally required by Canadian regulators. - Note: Once finalized, this action is irreversible, and the profile cannot be
reactivated
Can I access my transfer history after deactivation?
No. Once your profile is deactivated, you lose access to historical receipts and
transaction details.
- Recommendation: Please download or save your transfer history for record-keeping purposes before closing your profile.
- Post-Closure Requests: If your profile is already deactivated and you
require past receipts, contact Customer Support to undergo identity verification and request manual copies.
